Open Makes it Easy: Navigating Open Licensing and Copyright Online
When you first hear about open educational resources and see open license abbreviations like CC BY-NC-SA, you might think that you’ve fallen into the deep end of copyright. Don’t worry- you’ve only stepped into a wading pool and the water’s fine! Corey Parson from the University of North Georgia Press and Jeff Gallant from Affordable Learning Georgia will take you on a tour of open licensing and how the “building blocks” of Creative Commons licenses make it easy to revise, remix, and share your knowledge and resources in harmony with existing copyright law. We’ll even pay a visit to the more confusing points around open licensing and how open education and AI can work together.
Registration is required. This webinar is free and open to faculty and staff at all PASCAL member institutions.
